Bishop’s
Stortford Town
Council has placed a new Notice Board at the Haver’s shopping
parade, off Haver’s
Lane. The notice board has been re-sighted from a previous position in
the town
centre.
The notice board which
is
managed by Bishops Stortford Town Council, has been sited at the
Haver’s parade
as it offers the maximum viewing by residents and shoppers who pass the
area. The
Bishop’s Stortford Town Council notice board will publicise
and inform shoppers
and residents of events and meetings held within Bishops Stortford.
Councillor Norma Symonds welcomed the re-sighting of the notice board: “One of the main concerns that I became aware of during last year’s election was that residents of the Haver’s Estate did not have access to a notice board, like many other areas of the town. A lot of people in the Haver’s area don’t have access the internet, so I feel it is important to offer information in various different ways. Many residents said that a notice board would help, so I discussed with Hertfordshire County Council to secure a place where a notice board could be placed and residents could find out what was happening.
I am especially pleased that we
have been able to
re-site a
notice board, meaning that we can supply a service at minimal cost to
that tax
payer"
